Kate is my friend from school. She studied stage design in MHAT art school. When she was twenty-four, she met Stuart, a forty-eight-year-old British man. Kate and Stuart hit it off from the day the met. Stuart was in the same professional field. He was teaching graphic design at a university in London. They dated for six months and then got married. Kate moved to Britain after the marriage. She and her husband lived in London for a few years. Kate took a course of design in the Royal Academy of Arts. After she graduated, she worked as a designer for various galleries in London. When her husband got offered a new job, they moved to Nottingham. A year ago Kate had a son.

Len Banahan is a designer. He finished art school in Toronto at the age of eighteen. After that he continued his education at the School of Fine Arts in Paris. Len majored in interior design. For ten years he worked with famous design companies in Paris, Brussels, London and New York. At the age of thirty-five he started his own design company. He designed luxury hotels and restaurants throughout the world. In twenty years Len made his name in the designer’s world. His business had grown and Len found himself unable to handle all of the deals by himself. He decided to sell part of his business and buy a huge piece of land in the South of France to build stables there and raise horses.

Jeremy wants to be a dentist. He is studying dentistry in med school. Education is very expensive in America, so Jeremy landed a job as a dental hygienist. It’s a daytime job. Jeremy has classes until 2 in the afternoon. After that he heads straight to work. A dental hygienist’s job is hard. He does all of the work except for drilling and makes a lot less money than his boss. But anyway Jeremy is happy with his job because it helps him study in med school and will give good chances in finding a job as a dentist when he graduates.
